Job Description:
Person required for busy container depot located in Delta. We are an integral part of the transportation supply chain. We service containers for Steamship Lines and Leasing companies; inspecting, storing, repairing, cleaning and servicing emptied import containers and preparing them for the next export load. Job Description:
We are looking for a Membership and Visitor Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Executive Director, the team member is responsible for all operational, administrative and development components of membership and visitor services for the Delta Chamber of Commerce and Delta Visitor Centre. Duties & Responsibilities: • Responsible for all aspects of servicing, administering and growing the membership base • Responsible for all aspects of the visitor services function, including liaising with a broad range of tourism partners and stakeholders, and the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers and summer students • Developing, nurturing and leveraging relationships with various community and community organizations and applicable public sector officials • General office and building operations administration • Performing other office duties as required
Experience Required:
Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Education • Applicable post-secondary education • Previous experience in a non-profit, membership-based organization and/or in a visitor services environment would be considered an asset • A very strong service delivery and relationship management orientation • Proven ability to develop and nurture customer/member relationships • Very strong computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office and database management. Experience with association management software such as WebLink or ChamberMaster would be an asset • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments at one time • Strong analytical, planning, administration and reporting skills • Proven initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and within established timelines • Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills and the ability to work with staff and volunteers at all levels • High ethical standards, accountability, and integrity • Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable personal vehicle transportation • Experience in scheduling, training and supervising volunteers and summer students would be an asset • Local Delta knowledge and experience would be beneficial, but not mandatory
